CPCS signs agreement with PUC
On July 25, 2016, an Executive Director of Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies (CPCS), Siem Reap, Mrs. Emma Leslie signed agreement including Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC).
The agreement mainly focused on implementation of Applied Conflict Transformation Studies (ACTS) both Master’s and Doctoral Degree program. ACTS is a program for the study of conflict transformation, which bridges the gap between academic research and the wealth of experience that exists on the ground in conflict affected context.
Its aim is to provide locally-based international education to enable people engaged in peace and justice work in the Asia Pacific Region to maximize their effectiveness and to share their learning and research.
During the discussion, both parties further talked about upcoming project to produce a peace making film and to build peace museum in the hope to build peace in mind through loving-kindness and compassion.
